We use training, research, and collaboration to strengthen storytelling as a tool for education and community transformation.

Through training, research, and collaboration, we empower educators, mentors, and artists to harness storytelling as a catalyst for breaking stigma, amplifying voices, and driving lasting change.

Training, Research & Partnerships

We invest in training, research, and strategic partnerships to equip educators, mentors, and artists with tools that embed storytelling into education, advocacy, and healing. By building capacity and fostering collaboration, we ensure that oral traditions evolve into innovative methods that strengthen learning, preserve culture, and inspire sustainable community transformation.

The Power of Collaborations..

Sustainable change begins with capacity and collaboration. Story Makers strengthens impact by training teachers, mentors, and artists to use storytelling as a tool for learning, healing, and advocacy. Our workshops equip educators with creative methods for classrooms, while youth mentors gain trauma-informed facilitation and leadership skills. We also advance research through partnerships, including “Old Stories in New Ways” with the University of Alberta, which explored oral traditions as pathways to resilience and inclusion. By working with schools, cultural institutions, advocacy networks, and global partners, we preserve heritage, amplify children’s voices, and position storytelling as a powerful driver of transformation.
